This is what my ex (and father of my children) drinks everyday?
He goes through a whole bottle of Bacardi (the smaller one, a fifth?) everyday. He drinks it with coke, but there's only about a splash of coke in there. He also takes shots of Patrone (not sure if I'm saying that right). He's been drinking like this for about 5 or 6 years. He's been in jail twice for a DUI, one time he blew a 0.23 in the breathalyzer, but wasn't even stumbling or anything (that BAL would probably kill ME!).
I've noticed him getting thinner and paler. Is there already substantial damage done (with a bottle of rum a day for 6 years)? What's in his future? If he quits/doesn't quit?
He is an alcoholic and needs help. Alcohol addiction is serious and can maybe kill him one day. He needs to realize he has a problem and get help immediately. When kids are involved, it can also be serious. Because if he's drinking all the time, he may not be fit to look after them.
This site should help you evalute more closely on weather he has a bad problem
