What will life be like on Great Lakes Naval Base?
Since i will be going AECF, i'll end up spending a long time there until i get my duty station but what kinds of things are there to do?
Do i have to stay on base while i'm in school?
Will i ever get a chance to go back home and visit for awhile?
My sister is currently stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Base.
She was assigned two separate schools on base to attend, she completed the first one but has to wait months for the next one to begin.
She will be able to come home for christmas and that's about it.
Your primary objective is school, you work one weekend of every month which involves staying up all night.
There are many luxuries on-base like a bar, a "Club", and places to hang out.
Sounds pretty tame compared to other military branches.
