i purchased a string for my xbow and now the bolts seem to go every where is it possible i got the wrong 1?

the string is touching on the backside of the cam as if it is to long maybe. It seems that bolts and all could be a problem as so with my red dot scope. but the thing is the same arrow hits in the same location most of the time but the same results with the other bolts it just seems as if it can not be adjusted

My Norton Legend SL (165 lbs, 305 Fps), I use GT - Gold Tip XT graphite bolts. The first three shots @ 20 yards; I hit the center of the target with my first, the second shot hit the nock of the first and slid down beside it, the third shot hit the first bolt and slid down right beside the first. Very accurate 0 - 30 yards, lots of power, I however find that for long distance shooting a compound bow, recurve, long bow are predictable for 0 - 60 yard shots, the crossbow after 30 yards becomes erractic. I think it is because a bolt is shorter than an arrow. I use the GT - Gold Tip XT graphite arrows with my 70 lb compound bow, 250 Fps, and I find the compound bow has more range less power than the crossbow. All my target shooting with bows and crossbows are done outdoors, and with broadheads. My Horton owners manual shows the way the cable should run, through the cams, cable saver etc.. You should always measure the old cable, and replace with the same length and power. Take it to a archery shop with indoor range, and have them look at it. I've done 3D target shoots with my compound bows and made all shots (vitals) from 0 - 70 yards, however with my crossbow I wouldn't shoot over 30 yards. In hunting situations, bow or crossbow 30 yards I limit myself for a good shot, but if I had to pick one for a predictable longer shot, it would be a bow.
