do you have a jack russell, is he a spaz, & do you take him camping - ANY TIPS?

our dog goes camping w/us all the time, but it's always stressful (maybe more-so on myself than the dog).

seriously - if you have a jack, you know what i'm facing here... obedient as all heck until something flips that switch.

looking for tips from fellow campers with jacks, or equally insane dogs - what helps you?
LOSERX: lol, he is ALWAYS on a leash... i can tell you don't own a jack russell though!
i have a jack russell and we go camping all the time but she does not freak out and is quite obedient, she will not even chase a squirrel off leash ... the only time my dog gets extra frisky is when she has not had enough exercise ... maybe start the day wearing her/him out so less energy to freak out :O) i like to bring what i call her "camping leash" ... it is an extra long extendi-leash, as most campgrounds have leash rules but never specify how long the leash can be :O)
