How to make a small rat carrier?
Well, My dad hates rats and refuses to take me anywhere if i'm bringing my rat. So I just recently put a bike rack on the back of my bike. It's not very big, about a foot ot so long and 7 inches wide with elastic straps to hold things down. Something around the size of a tissue box will work. How to I make a carrier for her that's this small, I don't have money to buy one
well hon either way you will be buying something lol.
A good idea is to make a sick cage...which should make your bike and will keep your rat from getting wind whipped.
You need
1) plastic storage box...very cheap at the store...or a small wooden box.
2) hardware mesh (found at home depot) that is approx 1/2 in wire spacing. Its about oh...$10 for a HUGE role.
You can use just hardware mesh but it won't protect from the wind and can save her life (or any limbs) in case of an accident.
You need to bend it so it will take its shape. If you have holes in your box then you can tie it down with twine or a strong rope.
Or
cut a piece of the hardware mesh and just have it going across the top. Then cut a hole in the center. Use extra mesh to form a door.
clips work best when using this stuff but you can just fold it over with pliers instead.

just minus the fact that it isn't strapped down and it is tall. You may not want to include a different story for safety reasons.
