$1000 Bucks. Fullsize Blazer or Ramcharger?
Two 1989 SUVs have come up for sale locally, and I'm not sure which one I'd rather have. One is a 1989 Chevy Blazer with a 350 and an auto, the other is a 1989 Ramcharger with a 318 and an auto.
Same price: $1000 or best offer.
The Blazer has a nice shiny paint job but its bubbling and may be covering up a rotten lower body. The Ramcharger has an awful paintjob (original), but you can tell there's only one rust spot, and its very minor. The Chevy has 190k miles; the Dodge 149k. I've heard wonderful things about the legendary Chevy 350, but 190k sounds like a lot of miles. I have no experience with a Dodge 318.
I've been looking for a truck to use around the farm for miscellaneous hauling and towing. These seem to fit the bill, but which one should I choose?
Get the dodge for sure! The 318 runs for ever and uses less gas. Besides the whole floor is probably ready to go out of the chevy.
