I'm hoping there are some decorators out there with great ideas who may be able to help me?

In my kitchen, my dinnete set sits in front of a wall that's a liitle over 9 feet wide. In the center of the wall is a large picture which is 351/2 inches wide, and about 28 inches long. Although this picture is a pretty good size, it doesnt take away from the fact that I have this bare corner behind the dinette set that haunts me everytime I look at it. A corner lamp won't work becuse a ceiling fan wih lights is located right above the dinette. I have racked my brain and can't come up with anything, probably because decorating really isn't my forte. Help!

It sounds like you need some other things around the picture. It may seem like a large picture but if it is on a 9ft wall that is only 1/3 of the wall. You say there is a corner so that is another wall also that needs something.
My advice is to pick a theme, and use this to decorate with. If you like the pic then use it's subject as your theme. Then add som shelves w/ nick-knacks, other smaller pics, maybe candle holders that attach to the wall, etc. If you are worried about a corner there are corner shelves. Don't forget to carry the theme to the second wall. Most of all it shoud reflect YOU, and you should have fun with it.
