Ideas for futuristic weapon?

Nanite-particle weapons: Any weapon, really, though most likely it could be rather shotgun-like in function. This could replace the crappy melee weapon as the out-of-ammo attack. Primary fire is whatever projectile the thing fires, and the secondary uses objects: trashcans, spare ammo boxes for weapons you don't use, dead bodies. You point, his the secondary, and nanomachines break down the object down to molecule chains that get mashed togethor in the gun's magazine, reloading the gun. NOT AN ENERGY WEAPON. The projectiles are solid matter, like any bullet, and not energized in any way.

Attack-bot launcher: This one was inspred by Episode III: The gun fires out a spread of little robots that attack your opponant and eventually kill him. These could be full-size robots, or nano-machine robots.

Hmm, someone has been playing too much CoD, reading too much manga, and watching to much Mecha Anime.

I do not foresee and EVA units coming down the pipe in the next few years.

Particle beam weapons are coming of age though.
