Extra Propane
Help me buy a heater for an extra room. What are scams and in the long run not worth it.?
I have a large room say 900 sq ft. that I only heat on occasion. Its a rec room. We have a propane heater in their now but last winter we spend close to 1000 heating it only on the weekends. I refused to pay that anymore. Can someone tell me which one of those large space heaters that are all the rage, are they worth the money. Are they truly efficient? I wouldnt mind spending 300 on one but I have heard the amish ones are not that good. Whats the word out there from people? Tell me where you got yours if you liked it. Thanks!
I have a Lasko Automatic Air-Flow Heater. It's a forced air heater - basically it draws air from the room and returns it back into the room warm. It has several settings - it's safer than electric, propane or other gas heaters because there isn't a heating coil to catch anything on fire if it tips over. Works very good - check with Wal-Mart - that's where I got mine - it was like $25 - $30
