Can cycle generators be used to light up homes in remote villages?
In India there are several remote villages without regular electric supply. Can we have cyclegenerators so that the villagers solve their own energy problem? If so, who manufactures such generators and how much do they cost?
A cycle generator is what a person generates riding an exercise bicycle. Normally this produces 4 to 5 amps on the average. If this energy goes into storage batteries then probably you can generate enough power to light some 60 watt lamps!
