What would be a good first sewing machine?
I've sewn by hand for a few years and am finally ready to take a leap into sewing by machine, because it's becoming somewhat of a major hobby to me, and hand sewing takes far too long for my impatient self.
So what would be a good sewing machine for a beginner machine sewer, preferably under $250 and available at WalMart or a major sewing store, and heavy-duty enough to handle fabrics like wool and thick corduroy? Thanks!
hey, I'm also getting a sewing machine fom walmart. Let me just tell you , they dont have to be expensive to work great . Here are a few that work great.
Brother 10-Stitch Portable Sewing Machine, LS-2125i - I just got this, and it works great! Many people like it too. You might need to get a size 14 needle for denim.
