What is the value of a 1972 Shasta 17 foot camper?

My father owner this camper forever. He used it for 5 weekends each year and it was stored at a campground in NJ. When Dad died, he left me the camper. It was in immaculate condition. I move it to WV where it stayed for a year. Right before Christmas this past year, my neighbor's house caught fire. The fire dept had it under control but then a water main broke. My home was destroyed. The camper was unharmed. Naturally, I had to find a nother place to stay for my husband and kids. The camper was stolen several weeks later and damaged severely. I know I can't sue for more than it's value but I can't find a value. Please help!!!!!!!

Well if it was in immaculate condition it could be worth more than what I am going to estimate. You have to keep all of the options/accessories in mind.

My husband and I bought a 16 foot 1971 travel trailer last year for 400 dollars and it was in very bad shape, with water damage. We had to knock out the whole back end and rebuild it.

If it were immaculate I'd bet you could get up to 2,500 for it. With some slight problems or structural damage that would quickly drop to 1,500. If it had any water damage and the plumbing etc. didn't work then it would easily be worth less than 1,000.
