What martial art would go well with Luta Livre?
I am currently doing Luta Livre, for people who don't know this is similar to BJJ and focuses on grappling and submitting your opponent through chocks, locks etc and im looking for a good martial art to go with this something preferably which involves striking, standing locks, throws, sweeps, weapons defense etc. I have trained in Muay Thai and Tae Kwon do but i want something more practical than Tae Kwan do (the spinning kicks etc which look very good but would be hard to do in a real fight) and something more all rounded than Muay thai rather than just striking which you are graded in.
I meant to say i would like to do a martial arts which you are graded in with belts
Also do you think Ninjutsu would go well with Luta Livre?
it depends on what you want out of it. if you wanted to go old school brazilian you could get into capowera.(thats not spelled right but it sounds right)
Otherwise You could go with Kyoshokin Karate(again most likely not spelled right but would sound right)which is a form of full contact Karate and is a very useful form of karate(GSP and quite a few other MMA fighters have done or do it)
