Only Polar
Phenol, C6H5OH, is only 7% soluble in water. why is phenol partially soluble even though it has a polar Oatom?
My best guess is because it has both the polar and nonpolar molecules. Just not sure if this is correct.
Because it has a nonpolar aryl group attached to the OH
