How difficult is replacing a turn signal switch?
I just got my 94 Buick Regal back from the shop with rather bad news. My tail lights (stop lights) and cruise control is not working. Also, my turn signal needs to be held in a certain way to turn left. I realize that this is a problem with the Turn Signal Switch. Now is this a fix one can do by themselves? Any tips or hints? I know the part is relatively cheap by car standards, but the cost of labor is insane..
It's a moderately difficult job. Google ''How do I replace the turn signal switch 1994 Regal''. Pulling the steering wheel is not hard. Unplug the airbag. On my S10 I had to turn the wheel 90 degrees, and there were four holes on the back of the wheel. I had to poke an icepick into them to pop the bag out. Then just take off the center nut, mark the wheel and shaft to line them up later, and pull it with a steering wheel puller.
