trailer light installation question..?
okay.. I'm putting new lights on a small trailer. All I need are tail lights. I bought this kit and it's not working right.. so.. here is what I have.
Coming out of the trailer connector are:
white
Green
Red
Brown
Yellow
Coming out of the new tail lights are:
White
Yelow
Black
WTF??? what goes to what?
See how screwed up this is? One guys says the white is the ground, the other guy says the black is the ground.. what a F'ed up industry. consensus is "nobody knows"
Sounds like you have the wrong tail lights. *shrugs* I don't know. Wiring sucks and I hate anything to do with it. Which is why it's one of the VERY few things I get someone else to do.
