wiring a cook top with three wires to four wire breaker?
I just had a new cook top delivered yesterday and when I went to hook up the wires, I realized that I had three from the unit (red, black, ground) but there are four from the breaker box (red, black, white, ground). I know you do color to color but where do I connect the white wire?

The white is the neutral, which is used for the the regular stove accessories like timers, lights, clocks,bells, ect. but the cook top doesn't do those things so it isn't needed. I would put a Wire Nut on the white wire.
