my family got a GMC Vandura 2500 with a tow pakage, but the reciever for the ball has rust or something in it and you can't get the ball in the socket. is there any way to clean that out so i can use it?
You will need to spray down the inside of the receiver with rust penetrant and then use a wire brush to remove the rust. Once it's clean, you will have to repaint it with rust converter and then Rustoleum to prevent it from rusting again.
